Rise time is an important index of oscilloscope in analog oscilloscope.In digital oscilloscope, rise time is not even given explicitly as an index. Due to the measurement method of digital oscilloscope, the rise time automatically measured is not only related to the position of the sampling point. A means that the rising edge falls in the middle of two sampling points, and the rising time is 0.8 times that of the digitized interval.If there is a sampling point in the middle of the rising edge, the rising time of the same waveform is 1.6 times of the digitized interval.In addition, the rise time is also related to the sweep speed.
Although the rise time of waveform is a fixed value, the results measured by digital oscilloscope vary greatly due to different sweep speeds. The rising time of analog oscilloscope has nothing to do with sweeping speed, while the rising time of digital oscilloscope not only has something to do with sweeping speed, but also has something to do with the position of sampling points.
